TNT Custom Marine is a preferred Platinum Mercury Racing dealer, providing the very finest service and rigging in the industry. Mercury props are designed to maximize boat performance and each Mercury Racing propeller is stamped inside the barrel once it was finished. Read the article below to find out more about stamping and why experienced Mercury professionals are proud of this process.
Mercury Racing Pro Finish and Lab Finish props cost $1,600 to $6,000 and are hand-finished by a select crew of artisans who take a lot of pride in their very precise work, and so like any artist each takes ownership by signing the finished product. Until recently a finished Mercury Racing propeller was stamped inside the barrel with a code that indicated the date the prop was finished and the technician that did the work. Today, to recognize the skill and effort of these very experienced “prop grinders,” each is stamping his initials in the prop barrel.
