We are a privately held corporation; so we are able to concentrate our efforts on building boats of the highest caliber and have only our clients and race teams to answer to, not share holders. Mystic Powerboats Mystic Powerboats Inc. was founded in 1996 by John Cosker and has specialized in the design, engineering, and construction of high performance powerboats. Working with both production boat builders as well as individual owners, the company has created a wide variety of boats from 60+ mph outboard powered center consoles to 200+ mph turbine powered offshore catamarans. From 1999 through 2004, Mystic was responsible for all of the design engineering and project supervision for Callan Marine owned by David Callan. During this time, the two companies created a 120 mph 55 ft, turbine powered V-hull, and refitted a Tencara race boat with gas turbines making it the first off-shore catamaran to exceed 200 mph. Other projects included a 90+ mph 62 ft. V-Hull and a 50 offshore catamaran that has topped 210 mph to date. Starting in 2005 Mystic started a line of custom built powerboats. The first model was the Callan 50 catamaran that now carries the Mystic name. The boat was followed closely by a new 60 and 70 ft. diesel powered express cruisers.
