CR Racing Rolls; Shadow Pirate, Miss GEICO and More Earn Victories in Exciting Lake Race

In what turned out to be another fun-filled long weekend on Missouri’s Lake of the Ozarks, the 2018 Lake Race on Saturday provided plenty of action-packed racing between the 30-plus teams competing in the Offshore Powerboat Association-sanctioned event.
In the five-team Super Cat class race, which was the first race of the newly formed Supercat Racing 750 Owners Group, Performance Boat Center/Jimmy John’s exacted revenge on the WHM Motorsports team that came from New York to Performance Boat Center/Jimmy John’s hometown race last year and won. This year, Performance Boat Center/Jimmy John’s Myrick Coil and John Tomlinson edged out WHM Motorsports’ Billy Mauff and Jay Muller following a two-heat battle that saw each team win one race. In the end, the Performance Boat Center/Jimmy John’s team finished with an overall better time to take the top spot on the podium.
