The Michigan City Grand Prix is almost here and John Tomlinson and his teammate, Taylor Scism, are excited for the opportunity to race again. Tomlinson heads to the southern shores of Lake Michigan to participate in a gripping event with some of the world’s fastest and most dynamic offshore powerboats. This free event will take place in Washington Park on Saturday and Sunday, Aug 6th and Aug 7th.
This location has been selected by the Lake Race Board of Directors to entertain and continue the tradition of boat racing for the natives of the Great Lakes and fans who plan on attending. Enjoy fun activities with friends and family along the way as you view the powerboats soar across the Great Lakes! Chances to talk with owners, racers, and boat crews throughout this main event are also possible. Places including Washington Park, the block party, and the boat parade downtown area are where you can find plenty of these race officials. Safety is another key consideration for race officials and crews in the Grand Prix to ensure the event and powerboats are running smoothly. Buckle up for this race weekend, it’s something you do not want to miss!
This offshore powerboat event is open to the public so please come and support iconic racers, John Tomlinson and Taylor Scism, who are excited for a chance to win first place this weekend!
