John Tomlinson, co-owner of TNT Custom Marine, is set for a high-powered 2025 offshore racing season. He’ll throttle in Pro Class 1 alongside Carlos de Quesada in Alegra Motorsports’ brand-new 45-foot Victory catamaran. Tomlinson will also team up with 18-year-old Caleb Mead in the Factory Stock class, running the Mead Family Racing MTI 390XR. With both boats prepped and testing underway, all eyes turn to their season kickoff at the Lake of the Ozarks later this month.
For Miami-based offshore racing world champion John Tomlinson, the throttling game remains much the same this year. On the Pro Class 1 side of his 2025 competition equation, he’ll rejoin Alegra Motorsports owner/driver Carlos de Quesada in the cockpit of the team’s new 45-foot Victory catamaran.
The TNT Custom Marine co-owner will throttle alongside 18-year-old Caleb Mead in the 39-foot Mead Family Racing MTI 390XR cat in the Factory Stock class.
Tomlinson and Mead have been practicing ahead of their first event the season, dubbed XINSURANCE Offshore, at the Lake of the Ozarks in late June.
“The boats are really quick with the new power,” he quipped. “They perk right up with them on the transom.”
The current Pro Class 1 Alegra Motorsports team’s current 2025 competition plan calls for Tomlinson and de Quesada to begin testing the new boat ahead of its Lake of the Ozarks debut.
