TNT Custom Marine and Doug Wrights Designs delivers new 32 RT to its owner in North Miami!
Featuring a bright blue paint job and a pair of Mercury Racing Verado 400R engines, the second 32 RT pleasure boat from Doug Wright Designs was delivered to its owner in North Miami late last week.
With assistance from the team at TNT Custom Marine, which was responsible for rigging the 32-foot catamaran, the open-cockpit model completed its shakedown cruise on Thursday, and its owner—Yves Belanger—enjoyed the boat on Friday and Saturday.
According John Tomlinson, who co-owns TNT Custom Marine with Mike Thomas, the 32-footer ran well.
“When we took the boat out Thursday we had a little crosswind but we still ran it up to 120 mph with a set of 34”-pitch propellers,” said Tomlinson, adding that Belanger, who also owns a 46-foot Skater Powerboats catamaran, got even more seat time in the boat throughout the weekend. “I think the boat should run about 124 or 125 mph in ideal conditions. I like it—it’s simple and clean and the paint job is nice. We rigged it with a big Garmin display in the dash and dual steering with the throttles in the center so it can be driven from either side. I think the owner is pretty happy with it.”
The boat’s paint job was completed by Doug Harrell’s OverSprayer in Longwood, Fla., and the interior for its four-seat cockpit was handled by Fineline Marine Interiors in Hallandale Beach, Fla. Custom STR X-ACT adjustable brackets were used to connect the Verado 400R engines to the transom.
