To help ensure that boat builders and dealers are ordering the correct controls and rigging equipment, Mercury Marine has released Vessel Config, a new “software management configurator.” The new was announced in a press release earlier this week from Fond du Lac, Wis., marine engine and accessories company.
“Vessel Config fundamentally changes the way customers interact with Mercury,” said John Buelow, Mercury Marine’s vice president of global category management, in the release. “It turns boatbuilders and dealers into virtual engineers, giving them the ability to configure complex systems without assistance.”
With Vessel Config, boat builders and dealers can “prepare the right boat/engine for their customer with ease,” according to the release. The software program is designed to guide builders and dealers our customers through the configuration process “to ensure they are ordering the right Mercury products for their boats and in the end, providing an invaluable service for the end consumer.”
